Dana Pellebon is a long time resident of Dane County known for her dedication to community activism and her work against oppression. She is the Executive Director of the RCC Sexual Violence Resource Center in Dane County, where she coordinates community partnerships for county-wide sexual assault victim services.

Her leadership extends over 30 years in advocacy and case management in Dane County, including her role as Director of Housing and Operations at Porchlight, Inc. Pellebon's expertise is augmented by her background in operations and financial management, with direct experience in grant-writing, fundraising, and accounting.

Before her role at Porchlight, Pellebon worked for 16 years in private residential and commercial property management, sales, and marketing for Wisconsin Management Company. She was also the co-owner of the Frequency Madison, a small music venue in downtown Madison, in charge of accounting and operational support.

In addition to her role at the RCC, Dana Pellebon is the principal of the Madison Theatre Collective. Her passion for theater is evident in her involvement in directing plays that focus on social justice issues, working with minority casts and playwrights, and producing shows for local companies like the LNU Black Theater Festival, Broom Street Theater, and the New York International Fringe Festival. She has been involved in theater since about 2000 and has directed several productions, including the play "Detroit '67," which explores themes of racial tension and civil rights. She also has a long career as an actor most recently seen in Forward Theater’s production of “Clydes”.

Pellebon's commitment to her community is further highlighted by her political role as a member of the Dane County Board of Supervisors, representing District 33 in Fitchburg. She was elected to this position in April 2022 and her term ends in April 2024. Her work at the RCC was expanded by her role as the Executive Director, where she oversees direct service of clients, community education and outreach, finances, and operations. This role marks a significant milestone as it was the first time in the agency's 47-year history to have a woman of color leading the organization.

Furthermore, Dana Pellebon is part of the team bringing the Center for Black Excellence and Culture to life, demonstrating her commitment to cultural and social development in her community. Her impact is recognized and celebrated within the community, as evidenced by her receipt of the 2023 ATHENA Award and the 2022 Liesl Blockstein Award, which acknowledged her community impact and her advocacy for the homeless and victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
